There's no doubt about it at this point, folks: Jelena is in full effect!

After playing coy over their status for weeks, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have gone public with their romance in an overt fashion.

There was the press conference kiss, followed by the Billboard Music Awards PDA, and now a Hawaiian vacation that is being chronicled by the paparazzi and by friends of the couple.

As anyone who has seen Pulp Fiction knows, it doesn't get much more intimate than a foot rub.

Days after multiple shots of Justin and Selena frolicking, kissing and straddling in the sand were released, a friend has Tweeted the picture above.

So a Lady and Her Monkey Walk Into a Petsmart...

I went to Petsmart yesterday to get some things for little Mary Margaret, and while I was pulling into the parking lot, I passed a lady getting out of her car with a monkey on her shoulders.

Of course I came to a screeching halt because there was a lady getting our of her car WITH A MONKEY ON HER SHOULDERS, and that's just something you don't see every day.

I proceeded to take a photo...

...but then thought it would be better to capture the craziness on video, so here it is:

Pet Tags

Man, I'm so irritated.

I just received four pets tags that I ordered for Bev and Mary Margaret (two for Brooklyn and two for LA) and they're all messed up. Not only did they leave off the "Margaret" on Mary Margaret's tags, but the text isn't centered correctly and runs off the right side on all four of them. (The last letter of the address is cut in half.) The tags themselves are also ugly. The edges aren't smoothed out... they look like someone just cut them from a piece of sheet metal and called it a day.

So anyway, I got them this morning on my way to Starbucks (yesterday's mail), so while I was there, I started drafting a strongly-worded letter in my head, like what I was going to say to these people when I sent them back.

And then I saw it.

In tiny print on the bottom of the invoice it said, "Our handicapped employees appreciate your order."

So now I can't send them back. If I did I'd be a total asshole.

I'm just going to order new ones from someplace else. Any recommendations?

How Much Money Did Scotty and Lauren Make from 'American Idol'?

American Idol should be the start of a promising career for newly minted winner Scotty McCreery and runner-up Lauren Alaina. But it's also a payday in itself. So how much dough, exactly, have season 10's top two raked in thanks to their Idol stint?

As we know, the winner of the competition -- that would be McCreery, 17 -- gets the big, juicy recording contract. According to E! Online, that contract is worth $250,000. However, don't cry too much for 16-year-old Lauren! She's taking home $87,500 for her participation. Plus, when she actually records an album, that five-figure sum should jump up to the high six-figure range, probaly around $175,000.

As E! points out, this means that second-place Idol winner Alaina is getting a better contract than the first-place winner of NBC's The Voice, who is promised a $100,000 recording deal. (Of course, that winner also gets a personal celebrity advocate in the mentor they've chosen; we bet a few lunch dates with Christina Aguilera or Cee Lo Green could really boost an upstart's career.) And then there's the super-lucky winner of Fox's The X Factor, who will bring home the biggest prize in reality TV history: a $5 million record deal.

In case you were wondering, Lauren and Scott will not be spending their shared winnings on a big American Idol wedding. Alaina cleared up rumors of a budding romance during a radio interview on Thursday morning.

"No, we're not (dating)," said Alaina. "I was kidding about it last night a lot, but we're just friends."

As for the kisses she planted on "Scotty the Body," that was "just so happy and in the moment" that she got carried away. Too bad -- we think Steven Tyler would make a fabulous maid of honor.

Roseanne Barr to Play Chelsea Handler's Aunt in New Sitcom?

It looks like Roseanne Barr is making a play to return to primetime TV. First came the news, back in February, that Lifetime TV has ordered a season of Roseanne's Nuts, a reality series about her attempt to manage a macadamia nut farm in Hawaii. (Random!) And now The Hollywood Reporter says she's close to signing a deal to play Chelsea Handler's aunt in NBC's midseason comedy, Are You There, Vodka? It's Me Chelsea.

The sitcom sounds perfect for this irreverent comedian. Created by Handler (and based on her book of the same name), the show is a semi-autobiographical look at the talk-show host's younger days as a hard-drinking, promiscuous bartender. Laura Prepon plays Handler's young self, and Handler plays her older sister, Sloan. Barr will make a number of guest appearances as her aunt -- no doubt with her own character flaws or, at least, very loud opinions!

Originally Barr was set to cameo on the show as a lesbian prison inmate, but that role went to Dot Marie Jones (Glee's scary Coach Beiste). 

For a time, Barr was arguably the most omnipresent star on TV. Her sitcom, Roseanne, aired from 1988-1997, and her personal life (bad romances, big weight fluctuations, family scandals) was the stuff of tabloid editors' dreams. But the 58-year-old comic has seemingly been -- dare we say it? -- lying low of late. Well, at least she hasn't been front and center on TV.

Sure, she's been around, doing stand-up comedy tours, hosting a radio show, writing three books, filming some TV guest spots and starring in a recent commercial for Snickers that was one of the most popular ads during the 2011 Super Bowl. But now she seems to be ready for a grander return to TV. The question is, are we?

Jason Sudeikis Gives Kristen Stewart a Haircut

In preparation for his upcoming gig as host of the MTV Movie Awards on June 5, SNL cast member and Horrible Bosses star Jason Sudeikis decided he should meet some of the nominees before the big night, including Twilight star Kristen Stewart. Perhaps Stewart got more than she bargained for: A new promotional clip shows Sudeikis popping in to say hello -- and also to cut Stewart's hair! Watch below...

 

 

When Sedeikis bursts into Stewart's dressing room with a jovial greeting, Stewart says, unsmilingly, "You're not my hairdresser." Sedeikis introduces himself, "I'm the host of this year's MTV Movie Awards..."

Stewart says, challengingly, "How are you with a pair of scissors?"

Sudeikis holds up his own pair of hairdressing choppers, and Stewart says, "Let's see what you got!" Sudeikis then plops a bowl down on Stewart's head, getting ready to chop away.

The latest entry in the Twilight franchise, Eclipse, leads in MTV nominations, having scored eight nods. Both Kristen Stewart and on- and off-screen leading man Robert Pattinson have been nominated multiple times. Looks like it's going to be Twlight vs. Harry Potter once again.

The MTV Movie Awards air June 5 at 9 p.m. EST. We'll have to wait until then to see whether Kristen Stewart shows up with a bowl cut!

Charlie Sheen Is Selling Sober Valley Ranch

Is the party over for Charlie Sheen? Three months after showing off his dream house on 20/20, the actor has put his mansion on the market. The estate, which Sheen dubbed Sober Valley Ranch (modified from Silver Valley Ranch after he supposedly got clean), was once home to the actor and his "goddesses." Now that Sheen's out one goddess and unemployed, is the 45-year-old actor giving up his life of luxury? Is he making a fresh start? Or is he just broke?

There have been some rumors that Sheen is having money problems. TMZ reports that during the last season of Two and a Half Men, the star borrowed a cool $10 million from Warner Bros. The loan, plus interest, was deducted from Charlie's season 7 paychecks. At the time, he was the highest-paid actor in TV, with a base pay of $1.25 million per episode. Not the circumstances under which someone would normally need a loan! Whether it's going to child support, mortgage payments or something more unsavory, Sheen's money is definitely going somewhere -- and fast.

If you want to help the guy out by buying his home (which he paid ex-wife Brooke Mueller $1 million to obtain in the divorce), here are the details. The house is almost 8,000 square feet, with five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. (More bathrooms than bedrooms? Now that's luxury.) Naturally, it has a pool, a private screening room and a "professional outdoor kitchen" for entertaining. And it's in a gated community, so no need to worry about paparazzi bothering you during those outdoor-kitchen parties.

We're not sure what prompted Sheen to sell his house, since the actor has been uncharacteristically quiet lately. But we'll probably hear from him again soon: When a Twitter follower inquired recently about Sheen's media silence, Sheen responded that it was only "the calm before the storm." Now we're bracing ourselves for another round of Hurricane Charlie...

Grand Rapids, Michigan to Newsweek: Rank This!

In January, Newsweek ranked Grand Rapids, Michigan at number-10 on its list of "dying" American cities.

Did the city respond by crying over the snub? Pointing out the irony of a publication with a massive loss in readership over the last year posting any death watch that did not include itself on the list?

No. Instead, local citizens and celebrities gathered this week to set a world record for lip dubbing, as hundreds took to the streets and showed off the pride in their community via an impressively-executed rendition of Don McClean's "American Pie."

Ryan Reynolds Reflects on Scarlett Johansson Split, Ponders Future

Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson split in December. Since then, he's had a lot of time to reflect, and while that's helped, it hasn't been easy.

"Anyone who gets divorced goes through a lot of pain, but you come out of it," the Green Lantern actor tells the new issue of Details magazine.

"I'm not out of it yet. At all," he admits, and though he notes he still has "optimism" for the future, "I don't think I want to get married again."

"Any kind of crisis can be good," he muses of his sad split. "It wakes you up. I gotta say, I'm a different person than I was six months ago."

"You always reevaluate these things, but I'm very happy not to be in a relationship right now. I didn't plan on it, for sure, but that's okay."

Dating "just seems so kind of alien to me at this point," he explains to the mag. "I've been in relationships pretty much since high school."

Of his relationship history, he adds, "Some people look at that as a good thing. I think wiser people might see that as a house of cards."

Although he refuses to get into specifics about Johansson, who is now dating Sean Penn, he praises how they ended their two-year marriage:

"Departing a relationship and still maintaining the idea that this is still the same person I married is a great luxury that I experienced. Thankfully I was in a relationship where two people chose to remain on the high road in every regard."

For now, he's relishing his work in Safe House, which demands stunts and intense emotional scenes. "I cried 26 times yesterday," he says.

It'll be okay, Ry. It really will.

Following an evening that included special performances by Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Bono, The Edge, Gladys Knight, Tony Bennett, Steven Tyler and more, Ryan Seacrest made the announcement that led to screams and cheers from the crowd.

'Jersey Shore' Brawl: Did Ronnie Beat Up The Situation?

Apparently the change of scenery hasn't changed much of the drama going on with the Jersey Shore cast. New reports (and pics!) suggest that housemates Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and Ronnie Magro got into a nasty fight in Italy Monday night, landing the The Sitch in need of some of serious medical attention.

TMZ.com is saying that the guys, who have verbally sparred on camera many times before, got into a "major fist fight" that didn't exactly go in Sorrentino's favor. Photos taken Tuesday show Mike with a bruised eye, while Ronnie's knuckles are all cut up.

MTV refuses to confirm or deny that the boys got into a brawl overseas, but they did cop to there being a medical situation. 

"Monday evening, Mike received medical attention after an accidental injury in the house," MTV said in a statement to E! News. "He was treated and is now at home with the rest of the cast."

Details about the supposed fight are scarce right now, but sources say that it all started when (surprise, surprise!) Ronnie and his on-again, off-again girlfriend, Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola, got into one of their famous tiffs.

Kellan Lutz Passes on Making Out With Britney Spears

Kellan Lutz was reportedly asked to be Britney Spears' love interest in the star's upcoming music video for her latest single "I Wanna Go."

The Twilight Saga star reportedly nixed that offer.

Despite reports that he was scheduled to make out with the singer in a steamy scene, he apparently pulled out of the project for unknown reasons.

In addition to Twilight, Lutz can also be seen in Love, Wedding, Marriage.

Besides approaching Kellan, Britney reportedly has also asked Matthew McConaughey to play her love interest. Somehow we don't see that happening either.

The plus side? Making out with Spears, obviously. The downside?

Whoever signs a deal to join the singer in the video is going to save her from being hounded by paparazzi before he makes out with her in the back of a car.

People of Walmart is an awesome site.

So awesome it really had to be set to music! The aptly-titled “People of Walmart” by Jessica Frech pays tribute to the website and the big box retailer.

The video uses images provided by People of Walmart (dot) com, which launched in 2009 and caught on fast. It's a blog about ... well, it's obvious.

With U.S. sales down, its foray into high-end goods kind of a bust and the chain becoming the poster child for greed, community destruction and corporate malfeasance, Walmart has seen better days.

So a Lady and Her Monkey Walk Into a Petsmart...

I went to Petsmart yesterday to get some things for little Mary Margaret, and while I was pulling into the parking lot, I passed a lady getting out of her car with a monkey on her shoulders.

Of course I came to a screeching halt because there was a lady getting our of her car WITH A MONKEY ON HER SHOULDERS, and that's just something you don't see every day.

I proceeded to take a photo...

...but then thought it would be better to capture the craziness on video, so here it is:

When I told Mark about the lady and her monkey and showed him my movie, he said, "You really are crazy." I was like, "I'm crazy? THE MONKEY WAS WEARING A DIAPER AND PEARLS."

I realize I now have one cat and two dogs, but at least I don't walk around with a monkey on my shoulders. (Yet.)
