Desperate Housewives Actress Kathryn Joosten Dead At Age 72

Actress Kathryn Joosten best known for roles on Desperate Housewives and The West Wing passed away in her home in Westlake Village, California earlier today. It was only a couple of weeks ago that Desperate Housewives fans saw Joosten?s character Karen McCluskey loose her battle with cancer and now I sadly report that the amazing actress has lost her battle with cancer as well, kind of ironic if you ask me. Like life imitating art if you will. Her family surrounded the 72-year at the time of her death. A rep for Kathryn released this statement earlier today. ?Kathryn passed away this morning after a valiant fight against her cancer. Her family was with her. Funeral arrangements are pending. This is a terrible loss, and she fought as hard as she could. Joosten survived a bout of lung cancer back in 2001 then in 2009 she had another cancerous growth removed from her lung. Since her diagnosis Kathryn had became an advocate for the lung cancer awareness and research.
