Returning to the stage on which she made a name for herself, Jennifer Hudson joined Ne-Yo for a performance on Thursday night's (April 12) episode of "American Idol".
The duo teamed up for a rendition of their song "Think Like a Man," with Miss Hudson being one of the Fox competition series' most prominent former contestants despite the fact that she didn't even end up the season's winner.
As for the current season, the night's "Idol" took a turn from the norm - as the supposed elimination show sent not a one person packing.
With Elise Testone, Joshua Ledet and Jessica Sanchez surprisingly in the bottom three, the audience showed their complete disapproval in the form of thunderous 'boos' as it was announced that Miss Sanchez would be the one headed home.
With Jessica taking the stage for her redemption song, the "American Idol" judges interrupted before she even finished the tune to proclaim their decision to "save" her from dismissal.
Explaining the move, Randy Jackson told the crowd and viewers at home, ?This girl is one of the best singers in America ? ever."
