Friendly meals between divorcing exes seems like the thing to do these days. Just ask Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reyonlds who, taking a clue from Eva Longoria and Tony Parker, met up to chat and smile over dinner on Friday.
According to People.com, Johansson and Reynolds shared a "friendly meal" at Blue Ribbon restaurant in New York. "They were smiling and laughing the whole time," a source says.
Johansson had just returned from a girls' trip to Jamaica, while Reynolds was in town for a photo shoot. Last week, the couple announced their split, after two years of marriage. But they still seem to enjoy each other's company.
"They just wanted to connect and have a friendly chat," the source says. "They just wanted to sit down together. The tone was light and fun despite the untruths that the media is working up."
But don't you get your hopes up about a ScarJo/Ryan reunion. "They aren't reconciling, the insider insists. "?This was just two people who were married being civil and friendly."
